SEO and content marketing are my areas of expertise. I've helped businesses develop content strategies to grow their acquisition funnel through organic search in a variety of industries including finance, education, retail, automotive, and healthcare. Most recently, I served as the SEO Director of The Motley Fool and Senior Director of Content Marketing at The Arena Group.

 

I love teaching and learning – after completing my BA in Communications and Economics from Lake Forest College, I became an English teacher in Japan.  When I returned home, I spent some time studying special education and developed a passion for accessibility.  I ended up taking that passion into search marketing and started working as an SEO Analyst helping companies make their websites more accessible to people and search engines alike.

 

I have become more specialized in content strategy and scaling content production in recent years, but I have experience overseeing all aspects of an SEO strategy. I obtained a Masters of Business Administration at Purdue University Global online, so I have a strong understanding of business operations as well. I speak at digital marketing conferences when I can to keep my teaching skills sharp.

 

When I'm not plugging away at SEO and content marketing, you can generally find me on the tennis court, hiking somewhere in Colorado, traveling, eating out, or reading on my patio.
